I love this little girl! Her name is Taylor, she’s 6-years-old, and battling cancer and undergoing radiation therapy for Wilms tumor which affects the kidneys! I used to work for her dad and she has the sweetest heart and is the best big sissy to her two little brothers! I am so grateful to know this family and I am even more grateful to know that they were able to meet @taylorswift backstage! This is the highlight of my day!

My old boss and his wife took their daughter, Taylor, to the 1989 concert this weekend and she got to meet Taylor Swift! I am so beyond grateful to know this family and to know sweet Tay. She’s battling cancer, Wilms’ tumor, she’s 6-years-old and is undergoing radiation therapy. The doctors removed one of her kidneys this summer and she has continued to be such a fighter through all of this! I cannot express the gratitude that I have for @taylorswift and her mom for making this dream come true for sweet Tay.

Even though I was unable to attend the concert in Kansas City in September, due to being in a treatment facility in Denver, Co. for anorexia, seeing this has truly been such a blessing!

Thank you so much @taylorswift!!! You are so amazing! I hope we are able to cross paths one day! ❤️

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ERIN!

Erin is spending her birthday in an eating disorder treatment center in Denver. She was supposed to come to KC for the 1989 world tour, but decided that her health was more important at the moment. It’s a tradition that we see each other every other year, and that she comes to your concert in Kc when you’re here. She went into treatment on my birthday - which was the greatest gift ever, because my best friend wanted help.

Erin and I met on MySpace years and years ago- back when MySpace was cool! We were both struggling with an eating disorder at the time. The more we talked, the more we found out about each other. We both lost a parent at a young age. I lost my mom, and she lost her dad.

I remember telling Erin about you. I swear I got her hooked on you. She asked what made me happy, and I always said “Taylor”.

The first time we ever met was when Speak now was released. I had never been to Nashville, and she lived 3 hours away in Alabama, so we decided to meet up when the album was released. That trip was so fun!

That’s when we decided we have to see each other every year. ;)

You’re the reason we smile. Erin, if you’re reading this, I want you to know how beautiful you are. I know you’re upset that you couldn’t come to see Taylor, but you did the right thing. I bet Taylor would have wanted you to get better too. Taylor will always be there, but your health won’t. If you waited any longer, I am not sure you would be here right now. I have no clue what I would do without you. You’re my BEST FRIEND. The memories we have shared are amazing- and some of the best memories of my life!! I can’t wait to see you!!! I hope your birthday is filled with tons of surprises! I love you so much!! Like Taylor says, “hang on. It gets easier. Then it gets okay. Then it feels like freedom.” You are beautiful. You are loved. You are enough.
